💜 Let's give a 👏👏👏 to the 5th grade GOAL GETTERS! Mrs. Lewis, Mrs. Mann, and Ms. Solis have been working hard with students on Unit 3. Mrs. Goodwin, Ms. Torno, and Mr. Stevenson have helped students grow their skills in Module 2. Based on the goals set from the previous year's STAAR, these students met their goals for 💪 GROWTH on their unit tests!
Why are we focusing on unit tests throughout the year?
Daily assignments and exit tickets provide a window into day-to-day understanding, but unit tests provide a deeper perspective of comprehension and retention. Ask your child about their goals. Be sure to look beyond the overall letter grade and regularly check your child's test grades in Skyward.
Together, we can help your child achieve their best. As always, reach out to us with any questions or concerns.

💜 Let's give a 👏👏👏 to the 4th Grade Math GOAL GETTERS for Unit 4!
What is a goal-getter? Goal-getters are recognized after each unit test. Teachers set goals for students based on their previous year's STAAR performance to give students a target for 💪 GROWTH. Students learn the importance of setting goals and the work required to meet them.

The Snyder ISD Dual Language Program is pleased to invite you to our Dia de los Muertos Celebration, where we will come together to honor the cultural heritage of our families and friends. This event will take place at the Snyder High School Cafeteria on Monday, October 30th, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
During this event, you will have the opportunity to explore a gallery of altars created by our dedicated families. Additionally, you'll be able to view various projects crafted by students from Snyder Primary art classes, the SJHS Spanish Department, the SJHS STEM Department, and the Snyder ISD Migrant Program. Check with your child's teacher to see if their class is participating.
This is a come-and-go event, so feel free to join us at your convenience and take your time exploring the exhibits. We look forward to celebrating Dia de los Muertos and the rich cultural traditions that make our community so unique. We hope to see you there!

Last Friday, Ms. Minyard and Ms. Grierson took their 3rd-grade math students out of the classroom to complete a "hallway scoot." The goal was to find the missing number on input and output tables.
