Athletics Summer Programs - 2022

Sharpen your skills over the summer! Snyder ISD offers camps and workouts for students of all ages.

If your student will be attending Snyder Junior High School or Snyder High School and is interested in signing up for athletics for the first time, please visit this page to learn about the steps to join Snyder Athletics. You must have a current physical on file in order to participate in the Snyder ISD athletics. Athletes, please take care of this as soon as possible. Incoming Snyder ISD 7th - 12th Grade Students

Strength and Conditioning Schedule Begins June 6th

WHERE: Lady Tiger weight room (next to the main high school gym)

DROP OFF: Student center parking lot (behind VISITOR football stands down Tiger Drive)

ENTRY: Back hallway of main gym or weight room

June 27-30: S&C 8:30am-10:30am  / Sports Specific Skills 10:30-11:30

July 4-7: CLOSED  

July 11-14: CLOSED

July 18-21: S&C 8:30am-10:30am  / Sports Specific Skills 10:30-11:30

July 25-28: S&C 8:30am-10:30am  / Sports Specific Skills 10:30-11:30

August 1-5: S&C 8:30am-10:30am  / Sports Specific Skills 10:30-11:30. (All athletes NOT in high school volleyball) *HIGH SCHOOL two-a-days begin for those trying out for volleyball. Junior high volleyball tryouts will be held the first day of school.

Most Essential Guidelines

  1. Bring your own water

  2. Wear workout clothes, outside running shoes, sport-specific items (knee pads, basketball/volleyball shoes, glove for softball, soccer cleats, etc)

Academic Summer Programs - 2022

Snyder ISD offers a variety of academic summer programs for students. Enrollment for academic camps based on the grade completed during the 2020-2021 school year. Summer programs help students with:

  • Fine-tuning academic skills

  • Enrichment activities

  • Credit recovery (high school)

  • Classification recovery (high school)

Jump Start | PreK - 5th

Students in grades PreK-5th (during the 2021-2022 school year) are invited to join the summer Jump Start program! The camp will be held May 31-July 8 from 8 am - 3pm and there is no cost to attend! Teachers will help sharpen your child's reading, math, and writing skills. Additionally, students will enjoy: field trips, art projects, sports camps, and more!

Transportation, breakfast, and lunch will be provided. If you have questions, please contact amontoya@snyderisd.net.

Junior High School (Grades 6-8)

Dates:  May 31st - July 1st Monday - Friday

Time:  8:00 am - 11:30 am

Transportation: Contact the bus barn for information

The primary purpose is for credit recovery, HB 4545 requirements, and attendance recovery. If you want your child to attend for other reasons, please contact Rebecca Mebane at 325-574-8700 or email: rmebane@snyderisd.net

High School (Grades 9-12)

THINK! GT Camp (Completed Grades K-9)

Students served in the Snyder ISD GT program are eligible to participate if registered and fees are paid by their parent/guardian. The district is pleased to once again, provide daily transportation for both the half day and whole day sessions for GT students attending the camp! Students will meet in a central location for drop-off and pick-up.  In order to know how many students to plan for, please let us know once you have registered your child if they will need daily transportation to camp.
