visitor status yellow

Unfortunately, COIVD-19 cases in our district and our community continue to climb.  The number of students and staff who have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past few days has pushed our district status to “yellow,” and  we will immediately implement the following changes:

  • When picking up a child from school early, parents should remain in their vehicle and call the campus. The child will meet the parent at their vehicle.  All other policies apply.
  • On-campus lunch visitors and meal drop-offs are temporarily suspended.
  • Birthday party item drop-offs are allowed if prior arrangements have been made with the teacher.
  • Masks are recommended.
  • Parents/visitors are allowed by appointment only.
  • Extracurricular events are allowed. Spectators who choose to attend are encouraged to wear masks and practice social distancing when possible.

The following protocols remain in place regardless of campus status until further notice:

  • Students and staff who test positive for COVID-19 or who live in the same household as someone who has COVID-19 are required to follow Snyder ISD COVID-19 guidelines for isolation and quarantine, including providing notification to the school/campus nurse.
  • Visitors who have tested positive for COVID-19 or who have been instructed to the quarantine may not come on campus during the required isolation/quarantine period.
  • COVID-19 testing is optional and free for Snyder ISD students and staff at designated times

The community may view the Snyder ISD COVID-19 case count, protocols, and testing information on the Snyder ISD website at www.snyderisd.net/covid.

Please help us take necessary measures to keep our students in school and reduce the spread of COVID-19.
