Our people make the difference! Each six weeks, our National Junior Honor Society and Student Council recognize outstanding staff members who make a difference in our students’ lives.
Teachers and staff are nominated by students, who share why that educator stands out through kindness, support, positivity, and the impact they have both inside and outside the classroom.
We are proud to celebrate the following Teachers of the Six Weeks for Cycle 4, as chosen by our students!
6th Grade – Mrs. Garza
Students described her as kind, funny, patient, and incredibly supportive. They shared that she genuinely cares about her students, always helps them understand the material, and makes learning fun through engaging activities and games. Many also mentioned her positive attitude and dedication to both her classroom and the school community. Thank you for creating a welcoming environment where students feel supported and motivated to succeed.
7th Grade – Mr. Gonzales
Students described him as funny, caring, and inspiring. They appreciate how he keeps learning fun, maintains a positive classroom environment, and always supports his students. Many shared that he is fair, patient, and motivating, and that his energy and humor make class something they look forward to each day. Thank you for encouraging students to do their best and creating a classroom built on positivity and support.
8th Grade – Mrs. Ward
Students described her as caring, supportive, organized, and inspiring. They shared that she explains lessons clearly, is always willing to help — even outside of class — and truly cares about student success. Many mentioned that she is someone they trust and feel comfortable going to for support. Thank you for creating a classroom rooted in trust, encouragement, and learning.
Electives – Miss Valadez
Students described her as fun, creative, patient, and supportive. They appreciate how she makes art class exciting, encourages creativity, and remains calm and fair in all situations. Many shared that she genuinely cares about her students and creates a positive space where everyone feels supported and confident expressing themselves. Thank you for inspiring creativity and making electives a place students love.
Staff – Mrs. Curtis
Students described her as funny, kind, caring, and supportive. They shared that she is easy to talk to, always willing to help, and brings positivity wherever she goes. Many mentioned that she makes their day better simply by being around and helps create a welcoming and supportive school environment.
