This afternoon at Snyder High School, a physical altercation occurred as students were being dismissed for lunch. Campus administrators responded immediately, followed by the Snyder Police Department. An investigation began promptly and included a review of video footage.
Campus administration continues to work closely with law enforcement and families as the investigation proceeds. Our priority remains student safety and accountability.
We want families to be aware that students involved in fighting will have consequences in accordance with Texas Education Code Chapter 37. Additional local consequences, as outlined in the Snyder ISD student handbook, may also be applied.
