Snyder ISD is pleased to announce that Assistant Superintendent Dr. Jessica Gore has been invited to serve on the Texas Accountability Advisory Group (TAAG). This committee was established by the Commissioner of Education under Texas Education Code §39.0534 to play a central role in shaping the direction and effectiveness of the academic accountability system in Texas.

TAAG is responsible for identifying critical issues, reviewing proposed changes, and providing feedback on significant policy matters that affect school systems and students statewide.  By statute, the advisory group includes representatives from the Governor’s Office, the Lieutenant Governor’s Office, the Speaker of the House, legislative education committees, and key stakeholder groups. These groups include educators, parents, and business and industry leaders. This diverse makeup ensures that accountability policies are informed by a wide range of perspectives.

Dr. Gore will bring an essential viewpoint to the committee by sharing firsthand insight into how accountability systems affect students, educators, and campuses in smaller communities like Snyder ISD.

During her tenure on the committee, Dr. Gore and other TAAG members will:

  • Advise the TEA on matters related to state and federal accountability systems.

  • Share critical input on how performance is measured and how accountability structures impact schools.

  • Provide feedback and recommendations to help guide accountability policy decisions.

  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and legislative staff from across Texas.

Membership on TAAG includes a minimum three-year commitment. This term includes participation in meetings as the committee prepares for major initiatives, including the 2028 A–F Accountability System Refresh. Through this work, TAAG aims to ensure the state’s accountability system balances rigor, fairness, and transparency while closing achievement gaps and strengthening student preparedness for postsecondary success.

Snyder ISD congratulates Dr. Gore on this opportunity to serve public education, a role that reflects our district’s commitment not only to local excellence but to the advancement of public education across Texas.
