students at music performance

First-grade students at Snyder Primary School recently held their music program, highlighting the musical skills they have been developing while echoing the leadership themes they practice each day. Snyder ISD is proud to offer music education from PreK through 12th grade, and this program served as a reminder of how creativity and character can grow side by side in early childhood.

The theme for the program was “I Can.” Students performed pieces such as “Let’s Get Started,” “I Can Share,” “Get Motivated,” and “Think Before We Speak.” These selections encouraged positive habits that help children become confident and thoughtful learners. The themes woven throughout the performance reflect the same ideas students experience in the district-wide Leader in Me curriculum, which is grounded in the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey.

To allow families space to enjoy the experience, the first-grade team held performances across two evenings. The photos included with this release are from Tuesday night’s show, featuring the classes of Keele, Ramirez, Rauch, and Martinez.
