After 33 years in education — including 23 years of dedicated service to Snyder ISD — Mrs. Rhodes is closing an extraordinary chapter in public education at the end of this month. Her career has been marked by a deep commitment to doing what’s best for students, every step of the way.

rhodesMrs. Rhodes joined Snyder ISD in 2002 as an 8th-grade science teacher and later taught 7th and 8th-grade Pre-AP Science. She also coached 8th-grade girls’ basketball and served as the Junior High Athletic Coordinator. In 2009, she transitioned into leadership, first as PEIMS Coordinator, then Assistant Principal at Snyder High School, and ultimately as Principal of Snyder Primary — a role she held for 13 years. For the past two years, she has served as Director of Special Programs, working to ensure students across the district had access to the resources and services they needed to thrive.

Mrs. Rhodes led with clarity, purpose, and a heart for kids. Her impact can be felt across generations of students, and her influence on the educators she worked with will carry forward for years to come.

While it’s hard to let great people go, retirement is something to celebrate. We are thankful for Mrs. Rhodes’ leadership, loyalty, and heart for students. She leaves behind a lasting legacy and big shoes to fill.

Congratulations, Mrs. Rhodes! Your Snyder ISD family wishes you all the best in this next chapter.
