Snyder ISD’s Long-Range Facility Planning Committee will hold its second meeting Tuesday, October 20, at Snyder Intermediate School. A meal will be served at 5:30 p.m., followed by the meeting from 6–8 p.m.
The committee serves in an advisory capacity to the Board of Trustees and district administration, studying facility and capital needs before developing recommendations. Its charge is to keep students at the center, maximize district financial resources, and support the Board-Adopted Strategic Plan.
Academics, Campus Tour, and Future Needs
During the October 20 meeting, members will review the committee’s charge and discuss their assigned review of Policy CS (Legal). District administrators will provide an overview of academics, followed by a tour of Snyder Intermediate led by district leaders.
Members will share observations from the tour and participate in a “Dream Big” activity to explore ideas for future facilities. The meeting will conclude with an activity to identify members’ subcommittee preferences.
The committee’s broader work includes reviewing enrollment projections, assessing facility and safety needs, and considering district finances. Final recommendations will be presented to the Board of Trustees and administration at a public meeting.
Follow the Planning Process.
Information and presentations from the committee’s ongoing work will be shared on the district’s Long-Range Facility Planning webpage.
