Snyder High School culinary students brought home three Best of Show awards and numerous ribbons from the South Plains Fair youth food competition on Thursday, September 24, in Lubbock.
Twenty-eight students entered 29 items in the competition, with 19 students earning ribbons. Their results included three Best of Show honors, nine first-place finishes, five second-place finishes, six third-place finishes, and one honorable mention.
Students participated through Texas Restaurant and Foodservice Management (TRFM), the culinary student organization focused on developing leadership and skills for the culinary industry. Mrs. Allen and Mrs. Butler expressed their pride in the students’ accomplishments.
From breads and biscuits to cakes, cookies, and candy, students put their culinary skills to work across a variety of entries.
