The Snyder ISD Board of Trustees recognized four Employees of the Month for their service, leadership, and commitment to students, coworkers, and the district.
The honorees represent Snyder High School, Snyder Intermediate School, Snyder Junior High School, and the Snyder ISD Transportation Department. Each was selected for demonstrating a willingness to serve others and help students succeed.
Brianne Perry-Knipe, Snyder High School
When Snyder High School needed someone to step into a difficult situation, Brianne Perry-Knipe responded with positivity, professionalism, and a strong commitment to students.
Just three weeks into the school year, Perry-Knipe was asked to change grade levels and take over English II. She accepted the challenge without hesitation, saying, “I teach for the students, and this is what is best for them.”
Perry-Knipe worked diligently to prepare for her new classes while also ensuring that her English III students would continue receiving excellent instruction during the transition. At the same time, she continued mentoring and supporting a new teacher in her department.
Her work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to place the needs of students and her school first make her a valued member of the Snyder High School team and a deserving Employee of the Month.
Christa Turner, Snyder Intermediate School
Christa Turner consistently goes above and beyond for her students, coworkers, and campus.
Turner willingly volunteers for numerous responsibilities at Snyder Intermediate School, including serving as a Lighthouse Coordinator, mentor teacher, and active member of the PTO. No matter the task, she is ready to step in and help wherever she is needed.
She brings a positive attitude to campus each day and is a dependable source of encouragement and support for those around her. Her genuine care for students is evident in the energy and dedication she brings to her work.
Through her willingness to serve and commitment to others, Turner helps make Snyder Intermediate a better place for students and staff. She is a vital part of the campus and a deserving Employee of the Month.
Christian Chavez, Snyder Junior High School
Christian Chavez works each day to make Snyder Junior High School a supportive place for students and staff.
His dedication, positive attitude, and willingness to do what is needed help create an environment where others can succeed. Most importantly, Chavez keeps students at the center of his decisions and ensures their needs remain a priority.
His care for students is evident in the time, energy, and effort he gives to the campus. Through his leadership and commitment to others, Chavez makes Snyder Junior High a better place to learn and work.
He is a valuable member of the campus team and a deserving Employee of the Month.
Sarah Olivarez, Snyder ISD Transportation Department
Sarah Olivarez plays a central role in the daily work of the Snyder ISD Transportation Department. Her dedication to the district, its drivers, and its students is evident in the long hours and steady leadership she provides.
As Transportation Coordinator, Olivarez has helped develop and implement procedures that have brought greater organization, accountability, and consistency to transportation operations. She also played an important role in implementing BusRight and helping the transportation team successfully adapt to the new system.
Olivarez genuinely cares for district drivers and provides daily support to those around her. Her leadership, work ethic, and willingness to take ownership have made a tremendous impact on the department.
She is an invaluable member of Snyder ISD and a deserving Employee of the Month.
