Snyder ISD welcomed community members age 60 and older to the first Golden Tigers meeting of the 2026–2027 school year on Friday, September 18, at the Development Corporation of Snyder.
Golden Tigers gives older adults an opportunity to stay informed about Snyder ISD, hear directly from district leaders, ask questions, visit district programs, and find meaningful ways to support students and campuses.
At the first meeting, members learned about work happening across the district and registered for volunteer opportunities. Snyder Primary School currently offers volunteer opportunities every day of the week, allowing participants to choose an opportunity that fits their interests and schedules.
Golden Tigers is open to all community members age 60 or older. Participants do not need to be retired educators or have children currently enrolled in Snyder ISD. Alumni, grandparents, longtime Tiger fans, and other community members who care about Snyder’s students and future are encouraged to participate.
Golden Tigers meetings are scheduled from 10–11 a.m. at the Development Corporation of Snyder, 2514 Avenue R, on the following Fridays:
