Snyder ISD was invited by Matt Crow with the Office of Speaker Dustin Burrows to recommend a teacher for a statewide advisory task force because of the work and progress taking place across the district.
The district proudly nominated Afton Schneider, who was selected to join approximately 30 teachers from across Texas. The task force will meet regularly and provide recommendations directly to the Commissioner of Education.
Schneider was recognized at the August Board of Trustees meeting for this opportunity to represent Snyder ISD, West Texas, and the teaching profession at the state level.
