SNYDER, TX — Snyder ISD is pleased to share additional information, including campus-specific results, about the district’s 2025–2026 accountability ratings released on Thursday, August 13. The district earned an overall rating of C (71), a 5-point increase from the previous year.
The results reflect meaningful academic progress across Snyder ISD, with three of the district’s four campuses remaining steady or improving in every accountability domain year over year.
Campus Results
Snyder High School improved 6 points, earning an overall B (80).
Snyder Junior High improved 6 points, earning a calculated score of 61. Due to Texas Education Agency accountability rules, the campus rating is capped at F (59).
Snyder Intermediate improved 4 points, earning an overall D (69.3).
Snyder Primary earned an overall D (67).
Understanding the Accountability Results
Texas accountability ratings consider multiple measures of student performance. Campus results are calculated using the better result from Student Achievement, Academic Growth, or Relative Performance for 70% of the score, with Closing the Gaps accounting for the remaining 30%.

The district’s overall accountability rating is informed by the performance of its campuses, making sustained campus-level improvement critical to districtwide progress.
It is important to provide additional context for Snyder Primary and Snyder Junior High’s ratings.
Primary
Snyder Primary experienced decreases across its applicable accountability domains this year. Because state testing at the Primary campus includes only third grade, a single grade level carries the campus’s accountability results. Domain 2A, Academic Growth, is also not applicable because there is no prior-year STAAR assessment available to calculate growth for third-grade students.
As we have seen in Snyder Primary’s historical accountability trends, this structure can result in larger year-to-year swings because the campus rating is based on the performance of one tested grade level rather than multiple grades and does not include an Academic Growth measure. While that context is important, the district recognizes the decline in this year’s results and will remain focused on strengthening early academic outcomes as outlined in Snyder ISD’s Strategic Plan.
Junior High
The Junior High campus earned a calculated score of 61, but Texas Education Agency accountability rules cap the campus at 59. While the reported letter grade is an F, the underlying accountability data show 6 points of overall improvement, including a 20-point increase in Closing the Gaps.
“We are extremely proud of the progress reflected in these results, particularly the improvement occurring across multiple measures and campuses,” said Snyder ISD Superintendent Dr. Jessica Gore. “At the same time, we know there is still significant work ahead. Our focus remains on strong classroom instruction, student growth, and building consistent systems that produce better outcomes for every student. This is steady work, and we are beginning to see stronger results.”
Snyder ISD’s next steps are clearly identified in the district’s Strategic Plan, which serves as the roadmap for continued improvement. The district will continue supporting teachers and campus leaders and strengthening and prioritizing instructional systems.
