Tiger Family,
As we close out our first 5 days of the 26-27 school year, I am incredibly grateful for the way our Snyder ISD community has started the year.
It is an honor to serve as your superintendent, but it is also an honor for my family to call Snyder home and for my own children to be part of this district. This week was a great reminder of why this work matters.
Our students looked amazing. Our schools were full of energy, relationships, routines, learning, and Tiger pride. I loved being in classrooms and seeing our teachers doing what they do best: loving kids, setting high expectations, and creating classrooms where students feel supported and challenged.
We also had the opportunity to celebrate our accountability results and the growth happening across Snyder ISD. We are proud of the progress, and we also own that there is more work ahead.
Everything we do is centered on our strategic plan, which defines four key priorities:
Students: Ensuring every student feels supported, challenged, and prepared for what comes after graduation.
Staff: Creating a great place to work where our people are supported, continue to grow, and enjoy the work we get to do together.
Stakeholders: Keeping our doors open, communicating clearly, and strengthening partnerships with our families and community.
Stewardship: Taking care of what has been entrusted to us by managing our facilities and finances wisely and responsibly.
This week, our district leadership team was in schools alongside our campus teams, learning, listening, and supporting. That will continue. We want to stay close to the classrooms, students, and staff at the center of our work.
To our staff, thank you for the long hours and tremendous effort that went into a successful first week. To our students, thank you for the energy and joy you bring to our schools.
And to our parents and families, thank you for sending your kids to us. There is no greater responsibility you can entrust to us, and we do not take it lightly.
To our entire Snyder community, thank you for continuing to support our schools and our kids. A great beginning, and a lot of good work ahead.
