SNYDER, TX — To enhance student safety and elevate communication with families, Snyder ISD’s Transportation Department has announced a district-wide rollout of BusRight, an innovative school bus management and parent tracking system, beginning with the 2026–2027 school year.
The partnership brings cutting-edge visibility and peace of mind to local families by combining real-time GPS fleet tracking, automated parent alerts, and student ridership verification.
Key Benefits for Snyder ISD Families
Live GPS Bus Tracking: Families can monitor their child's bus location on a live map in real time using the BusRight Parent App. This feature eliminates uncertainty at stops, allowing parents to coordinate pickup and drop-off times with confidence.
Enhanced Ridership Safety (Safety Pass): Students will scan a required Safety Pass upon boarding and exiting the bus. This system provides precise digital confirmation of where and when a student boarded or left the vehicle, safeguarding daily commutes.
Direct Updates & Delay Alerts: The district’s transportation team can send instant push notifications directly to parents' smartphones regarding route changes, weather delays, or traffic impacts.
Optimized Fleet Performance: Drivers will utilize turn-by-turn navigation designed specifically for school buses, creating safer routes, improving timeliness, and streamlining operations across the district.
Important Information for the 2026–2027 School Year
Bus Registration Required: Families requiring bus transportation for the upcoming school year must register their students as soon as possible through Skyward.
August 5 Invitation: On August 5, parents and guardians of students registered in Skyward will receive an official email from BusRight containing setup instructions for the Parent App. Access to the application is restricted exclusively to families registered for district transportation.
Tiger Takeoff Event: Representatives from the Transportation Department will host an informational table during Tiger Takeoff at Snyder High School. Families are invited to:
Pick up their student’s required Safety Pass.
Receive hands-on assistance setting up the BusRight Parent App.
Ask transportation-related questions ahead of the first day of school.
