As Snyder ISD prepares for the 2026-2027 school year, the district is sharing information about two new opportunities for families: Tiger Connect Virtual Learning Academy and Homeschool UIL Participation.

Snyder ISD believes the best place for most students is in the classroom, learning alongside their peers and building relationships with teachers, coaches, sponsors, and staff. At the same time, we recognize that families make educational decisions for many different reasons. These options are designed to help students stay connected to Snyder ISD whenever possible.

Tiger Connect Virtual Learning Academy

Pending final Board approval in July, Tiger Connect Virtual Learning Academy will provide a virtual learning option for eligible Scurry County students in grades 9-12. Students will remain enrolled in Snyder ISD, work toward a Snyder High School diploma, and have access to many district programs and activities if they meet eligibility requirements.

Registration is expected to open July 10, 2026, pending Board approval.

Homeschool UIL Participation

The Snyder ISD Board of Trustees voted on June 9 to allow Homeschool UIL Participation for eligible homeschooled students in accordance with Senate Bill 402. This option allows qualifying homeschooled students who live within Snyder ISD boundaries to participate in designated UIL activities.

Applications are being accepted now. Visit www.snyderisd.net/homeschool to access the application link and read the handbook.

The deadline to apply for homeschool UIL participation for the 2026-22027 school year is Thursday, July 23, 2026.
