SNYDER, TX – Snyder ISD is thrilled to announce the launch of our Summer with the Superintendent initiative. Throughout the summer months, Dr. Jessica Gore will be hosting casual gatherings at various locations across the community.
These events offer a wonderful opportunity for Snyder ISD students and their families to come together to read, set exciting goals for the future, and maintain strong community connections while school is out of session.
The official schedule for June is detailed below. July dates and times will follow in a subsequent announcement.
June Event Schedule
June 1 | 9:00–10:00 AM — Donuts & Dream Big
Target Audience: Grades 6–12
Details: Kick off the month with free donuts and summer goal-setting.
Location: Downtown Snyder Square
June 8 | 9:00 AM — Popsicles & Pages in the Park
Target Audience: Grades PreK–5th
Details: Enjoy popsicles and a fun children’s book read-aloud together.
Location: Towle Park East Playground (Meet at the gazebo)
June 16 | 4:30–5:30 PM — Coffee, Chapters & Check-Ins
Target Audience: Grades 6–12
Details: Secondary summer book club check-in and discussion.
Location: J316 Coffee Shop
June 22 | 3:30–4:30 PM — Scoops & Stories
Target Audience: Grades PreK–5th
Details: Ice cream sandwiches and a great book make the perfect summer afternoon.
Location: Snyder Primary North Playground (2nd & 3rd Grade playground)
June 29 | 11:30 AM — Coffee, Chapters & Check-Ins (Mid-Day Edition)
Target Audience: Grades 6–12
Details: Keep the summer reading momentum going with another book club meetup.
Location: J316 Coffee Shop
