Snyder ISD continues to expand opportunities for students by adding new programs and pathways for the 2026–2027 school year.

These efforts reflect a focused commitment to providing students with meaningful experiences, strong academic options, and opportunities that prepare them for success beyond graduation.

Advanced Academic Opportunities
Snyder ISD is strengthening academic pathways to support student success. Pre-Advanced Placement courses at Snyder Junior High are designed to build readiness and provide increased academic challenge, while Advanced Placement courses at Snyder High School support college preparation and offer opportunities for students to earn college credit.

Health Science Pathway Expansion (High School)
In collaboration with Cogdell Memorial Hospital, Snyder ISD is expanding its Health Science pathway to align with workforce needs and student interest. New opportunities include Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, and Physical Therapy Aide certifications in addition to the Phlebotomy program.

New Career Pathway: Data Technician (High School)
Snyder ISD is launching a new dual-credit Career and Technical Education pathway in partnership with Western Texas College. This program prepares students for careers supporting data centers and emerging technology fields.

Junior High: Exploration and Early Access
Snyder Junior High is expanding opportunities for students to explore their interests earlier and begin building toward future goals. Students may participate in interest-based groups during AI Time and have access to principles-level courses that introduce high school pathways and allow them to begin earning high school credit.

New Districtwide Dance Program (Grades 6–12)

One of the newest additions is a districtwide dance program open to incoming sixth through twelfth grade students. This long-anticipated program will give students the opportunity to develop technical dance skills across a variety of styles while performing at games, competitions, and showcases throughout the year. Students may also earn Fine Arts or PE credit through participation.

Auditions will be held April 13 through April 18, with registration open through April 8. These additions reflect the district’s continued investment in creating meaningful opportunities for students at every level and ensuring they are equipped for what comes next.
