Snyder ISD will operate on a two-hour delayed start on Thursday, January 29, 2026. Buses will run 2 hours late. Breakfast will be served.
Cabinet members, principals, and assistant principals have walked every building across the district. These walkthroughs included checks of plumbing, ceilings, heating systems, and other key areas that may have been impacted by the recent weather. Any emergent repairs have been made or are currently in progress. All campuses are warm, functioning, and ready to receive students.
Additionally, after speaking with our bus drivers, we determined that an on-time start would require some bus routes to begin as early as 5:45 am. A delayed start allows bus routes to begin in daylight, which is preferred for safety. Please allow extra time to travel.
We understand that some families may not feel comfortable traveling. Each family should make the decision that is best for their safety and circumstances.
Absences
Students must be physically present to be marked present. If your child is unable to attend, please follow the district’s absence note policy. www.snyderisd.net/attendance.

Doors open at 9:20 am
Classes begin at 9:40 am
Snyder Intermediate School
Doors open at 9:20 am
Classes begin at 9:50 am
Snyder Junior High School and Snyder High School
Doors open at 9:30 am
Classes begin at 10:00 am
We have enough minutes built into our instructional calendar; therefore, we do not anticipate needing to make up this day later in the year.
