Golden Tigers
Snyder ISD’s Golden Tigers program invites community members age 60 and older to stay connected, learn more about our schools, and become involved in ways that match their interests and availability.
Golden Tigers will gather each month to hear directly from the superintendent and other district leaders, learn about what is happening across Snyder ISD, and enjoy time with others in the community. Members may also learn about opportunities to volunteer, mentor students, share their experiences, or support school activities if they wish.

Ways to Get Involved
Golden Tigers may choose to:
Read with students or provide tutoring and homework help
Welcome visitors or assist with campus activities
Help in libraries, cafeterias, or at special events
Share stories about careers, military service, local history, or life experiences
Teach students about hobbies such as gardening, cooking, music, crafts, chess, quilting, or genealogy
Attend athletic events, concerts, theatre productions, UIL contests, and pep rallies
Serve as honorary coaches, team grandparents, or student mentors
Become a Golden Tiger
Whether you want to volunteer regularly, attend monthly gatherings, or simply stay connected to Snyder ISD, there is a place for you in the Tiger Family.
Those who volunteer directly with students will complete Snyder ISD’s standard volunteer application, background check, and orientation. Opportunities will be matched with each person’s interests, availability, and campus needs.
Ready to join? Complete the Golden Tigers interest form or contact the Snyder ISD Administration Office for more information.
