Karleen Thompson earned All-American honors in volleyball, basketball, and track at SHS.

She continued her career at Contra Costa College leading the basketball team to a conference title and was a Junior College Kodak All-American in basketball and inducted into the Junior College Hall of Fame.

Karleen continued to play basketball at USC, lettering for two years.

She spent eight years with the Los Angeles Sparks organization of the WNBA earning a pair of WNBA championships.

Karleen was named assistant coach of the Sparks in 2002 and interim head coach in 2004.

She is currently the Head Coach and General Manager of the WNBA Houston Comets.
