The 1972 Snyder High School Volleyball team was the FIRST athletic team in school history to win a UIL State Championship.

Members of this team were: Patti Sims, Hollye Crenshaw, Merilou Moore, Terry Watson, Sue Jane Sullivan, Norma Duke, Marcia Shields, Penny Jones, Christy Suttle, Janis McMullan, Robin Nail, and Vicky Hinshaw.

Managers were Julie Rhodes, Andi Falls, and Mary Ann Richardson.

The team was coached by Pam Hess.
