Back to School Resources

Welcome to Snyder ISD!  Whether you are a new or returning student, we are glad to have you in the Tiger family. We've gathered all the information you need to get set for the school year.

New Students

For your convenience, you can now complete enrollment online! You are also more than welcome to stop by your child's campus and complete the enrollment process in person. If you have questions about enrollment applications, please contact us; we're here to help!

You will be asked to have these documents on hand when enrolling your student:

  • Proof of residency (utility bill: gas, water, electric, with current address)

  • Birth certificate

  • Social Security card

  • Immunization record

  • Parent/guardian identification

  • Proof of guardianship (if not the child's parent)

  • Proof of income (PreK only)

Returning Students

Important notes:

Verify Your Info in Skyward
Each year, families must review and update their information in Skyward—even if your child attended Snyder ISD last year. This helps us keep records current and finalize class schedules.

Important Reminder:
Double-check your phone number and email. Be sure each parent or guardian uses a different phone number and email address. Using the same contact info can cause ParentSquare accounts to merge.

Transfer Students

Thinking about joining Snyder ISD? There’s a place for you here.

From our youngest learners to high school students preparing for what comes next, Snyder ISD offers a wide range of academic opportunities for every stage of learning. Students have access to strong foundational instruction, along with advanced pathways, including honors courses, the introduction of Pre-AP and AP options at the junior high and high school levels, and college dual credit opportunities in high school.

Beyond the classroom, students can explore a wide range of opportunities in leadership, fine arts, athletics, and career-focused programs, ensuring there is something for everyone.

If you are considering a transfer to Snyder ISD, be sure to mark your calendar for the upcoming transfer application window.

Clear Bag Policy

Beginning next school year, Snyder ISD will implement a clear or mesh backpack requirement for students. Students who need to carry personal hygiene items may bring a small bag, similar in size to a pencil pouch, inside their backpack.

The district is also exploring ways to provide a clear backpack to students who may need one prior to the start of the school year to help ensure the transition is accessible for all families.

Athletic bags will not be allowed in academic areas during the school day. Students who need athletic equipment will continue to drop off their athletic bags at designated athletic facilities before school begins. As is current practice, these bags will be subject to search.

Meals

Snyder ISD is excited to announce that all students at Snyder Primary School (PreK-3) and Snyder Intermediate School (Grades 4-5) will receive free breakfast and lunch during the 2026-2027 school year.

Students at Snyder Junior High and Snyder High School will continue to receive free breakfast each day. Students who qualify through the free and reduced-price meal application will also receive free lunch.

Our Goal: Expand Free Meals for All Students in 2027-2028

Our long-term goal is to provide free breakfast and lunch for every Snyder ISD student, PreK through 12th grade.

To help make that goal a reality, we need every family to complete the free and reduced-price meal application when it becomes available in Skyward later this summer.

Even if you do not think your family qualifies, your application still matters. The information collected helps determine the amount of state and federal funding Snyder ISD receives. That funding supports student programs, services, and opportunities across the district.

Every completed application strengthens our ability to continue offering free meals to our youngest students and work toward expanding free meal opportunities for all students.

Complete Your Free & Reduced Lunch Application

Good news—forms will now be completed online in Skyward! You’ll get a reminder in July to log in and complete the application.

✅ Bonus: Completing the form gives you a 50% discount on technology fees, even if you don’t qualify for meal benefits.

Not sure if you’ll qualify or hesitant to share info?
Remember, the online form is secure and confidential. 100% form completion helps provide resources for all students.
