Snyder ISD Principal Fellowship Program

The district has been awarded a grant that will allow principal candidates to obtain a master’s degree while serving as a principal intern. The program is 16-months. Principal Candidates will serve on a campus as principal interns during the Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 semesters. Candidate Orientation will be held on May 22, 2021, from 9:00-11:00 AM. Summer I Classes will begin (online) with SRSU-Alpine on June 2, 2021. Costs including salary, tuition, and incidentals are paid by the district.

In addition, an application for admission and transcripts must be submitted to Sul Ross State University-Alpine, our grant partner, by April 24-26, 2021. The link for the SRSU-Alpine application is provided below. Applicants who have previously attended colleges/universities other than Sul Ross must have those institutions send official transcripts by mail to SRSU, Office of Admissions, Box C-2, Alpine, TX 79832.

After the applications to the district are reviewed, some candidates will be selected for the final phase, an oral interview, which will be conducted between April 20-23, 2021. Finalists will be notified about the time and place of interviews on April 19, 2021, and a final decision will be made by April 23, 2021.
