Congress has set aside approximately $11.2 Billion for the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER Fund). These grants will be awarded to provide schools with emergency relief funds to address the impact that COVID-19 has had, and continues to have, on elementary and secondary schools across the Nation. During an ordinary school year, students and families experience stress while juggling schoolwork and extracurricular activities in addition to family and social issues. COVID-19 has, understandably, caused additional stress for us all.
